I was barely aware of music until about 1996, so never really got into MJ.
This last week with everyone from classic rock to Radio from Hell to the BBC* playing his songs, I can see, those are some pretty good songs.
*Seriously, "world have your say," the across-the-globe call-in show which usually covers current wars, social movements, uprisings, economic turmoil, etc. had people calling in from every continent talking Michael Jackson.
Misheard lyrics. Ah well.
Yes, those are some pretty good songs. The fact that they are still good decades later is a testament to how universally applicable his music was.
